On Sunday 9th October our Treasurer, Dr Panagiotis Kyriazis, took part in a motorcycle event organized by the Moto Club De Monaco.
The so-called “Ronde d’Amitié Monegasque”, is an annual event created and commissioned by Prince Rainier III over thirty years ago to bring together motorcyclists from the Police Forces and administrative authorities of Monaco and France.
The event grows each year in numbers and this year the riders included Monaco Police motorcycles, Carabinieri of the Prince, the French Police, the French Gendarmerie, French Customs, the French Municipality and, of course, a group of motorcyclists from Moto Club De Monaco.
This is the only motorcycle event in the world where motorcyclists can have fun without worries, escorted by the police!
The event started from the headquarters of the Moto Club De Monaco. The heavy rain did nothing to put off the riders who drove 200 kms into France to share a midday meal before a long return to Monaco followed by an awards ceremony.
Dr. Panagiotis Kyriazis received an award from the Moto Club De Monaco for his participation in the event while he in turn presented awards on behalf of the Hellenic Community of Monaco. These awards were made in favour of Andrè Pollano and Paolo [Mosti], President and Vice-President respectively of BMW Moto Club of Monaco. Andrè Pollano is also President of the General Moto Club Monaco and the Motorcycle Federation of Monaco.
