In Puget-sur-Argens The Cote d’Azur Polo Club will be holding an international polo tournament, The Esterel Cup, from 21 to 23 June 2019. This mixed tournament sees teams made up of men and women from all over the world compete for this Cup, a new addition to the tournament calendar of this lovely farm-style club. This year, players from Argentina, Uruguay, Spain, France, the US, and the UK are already confirmed.

With its grass and all-weather facilities, Cote d’Azur Polo Club is the only place to play polo all year round on the French Riviera. Opened in 2016 as a not-for-profit association by passionate volunteers, it is just 1 hour from Monaco and a mere 30-40 minutes from Cannes and many towns of the Var. A friendly country-style South American feel makes you instantly welcome. The Polo School offers group and individual tuition to children and adults of all levels, including complete beginners, with lessons in French, English, and Spanish. As part of its development, this year the Club has added 3 new competitions: the Esterel Cup in June, the Jazz Cup in July, and the Red Rocks Trophy in August. As well as the traditional Riviera Polo Cup in September.

You are invited to attend the Saturday, June 22 Esterel Polo Day. The Esterel Day Polo Matches will start from 15h00 until 18h00. Followed by apéritif, traditional South American style “Asado” BBQ and DJ/live music until 22h00. We are waiting for the confirmation that a dancing demonstration will also take place! As those who attended last year can attest it is an extremely fun event.

Tickets for the afternoon and evening are 45 Euros per person, including 2 drinks vouchers for the buvette during the polo match (for a glass of wine, beer or soft drink) and includes all food, wine and soft drinks with Asado dinner, as well as the Evening’s Entertainment.

The dress code is casual, country style. You will be invited to help “tread in” the divots on the field in between the matches, a polo tradition!

You will also have the opportunity to become a “Friend of Cote d’Azur Polo Club”, which costs 100 euros annually and provides opportunities to join social events at the club throughout the year. Friends benefit from a reduced tariff of 40€ pp for this event. We attach a membership form.
