In the Ballroom of the Yacht Club de Monaco, on Sunday, January 14, 2024, the Hellenic Community of Monaco held its traditional Vasilopita celebration with the attendance of more than 200 members and supporters of the community. In addition, it was also during this time that Mrs. Sophia Vaharis-Tsouvelekakis completed her second term as President of the Hellenic Community of Monaco, receiving a warm round of applause from the audience.

The closing remarks of Mrs. Sophia Vaharis-Tsouvelekakis were dedicated to the presentation of awards in honor of distinguished members of our community, as a small gesture to express our immense gratitude for their support and contribution to our community and society as a whole.

To The Very Reverend Archpriest Mr. Michael Seliniotakis, in recognition of the long-standing humanitarian achievements expanding beyond our community. To Mr. John Christodoulou, A Great Cypriot Philanthropist, in recognition of his long-standing philanthropic work. To well-known designer Mr. George Vafiadis, acknowledging his highly acclaimed international journey as a distinguished Greek Yacht designer, and finally, to our beloved island of Kastellorizo and its municipality, as a diachronic protector and guardian of the European acquis and way of life.

On the occasion of this event, the new President of the Community and the new Board of Directors were announced. The new Board of Directors will now be under the leadership of its new president, Mrs. Ekaterini LANARA, a businesswomen, based in the Principality for more than 15 years.
