Τhe Panhellenic Heart Lung Transplant Association «Skytali» was founded in 1991.

Τhe primary activity and constant concern of the association until today is to familiarize Greek society with the idea of ​​organ donation and transplantation. That’s why our members΄ media presentations are continuous, but also the support of many public art events. In parallel:

• The Association’s efforts to secure its members access to the transplant-specific medical care and the guaranteed availability of “Immunosuppressant Drugs in Greece” were very intense, since the first patients had to bring their drugs from the Transplant Centers abroad.

• Every January, the Association organizes the “annual donor memorial”, reminding us of the “torch” (“skytali’’) of life which is the

·         Since 1999, members of the Association have participated in the World Transplant Games– www.wtgf.org΄΄ as members of the Greek Mission, demonstrating that one can lead a normal life after transplant.
